When I pass, speak freely of my shortcomings and my flaws. Learn from them, for I'll have no ego to injure. Aaron McGruder

This memorial website was created to remember our Dearest father, Hon. Ebenezer Namata Ewanga who was born on June 12th 1940 in Konye-Kumba, Meme Division, to Mami Susanna Ewanga and Papa Ferdinand Ewanga. He was an only child to his mom.

He attended primary school in Krume,  scored highest at the Common Entrance Exams (Southern Cameroons) and was awarded a scholarship to study at Kings College Lagos, Nigeria. He graduated and went to Yaba Institute of Lagos Nigeria where he studied Technical Engineering...Because he was such an intelligent germ, he returned home and worked for the then PWD Department for 2 years and won the AIT Scholarship to USA and studied at Kansas University, Lawrence, Kansas. There he obtained his B.S and M.S in Architecture, met and married his beautiful wife Yvonne Williams. He returned in 1968 and continued working for the PWD Dept. untill 1971.

In 1972 he opened his own private business in Architectural designs (Namata Ewanga Associates) Ebenezer Namata Ewanga where he worked and patterned with one of his very good friends, the Late Emmanuel E. Manga. Their powerful duo team formed the first Architects in South West Province and in the English speaking parts of Cameroon. Mr. and Mrs Ewanga's union was blessed with four beautiful children, Susan, Ethel, Caroline & William.
He worked hard, sent his kids to the best schools and ventured into politics...

On March 3rd 2011, he went to his village, Konye for a death celebration of a relative. There, he collapsed and as he was rushed to the hospital in Kumba, he went into a cardiac arrest and was later pronounced dead.
Hon E. N. Ewanga was a Peoples person who loved life, culture, and his friends and family. His charm, poise, and smile landed him the nick name "Fineboy". He was a father to many children, biological and non biological, an uncle to many, a mentor to many and a husband to his beloved wife, Madame Yvonne Ewanga.

Hon. Mr. Ebenezer Ewanga worked as an Architect most of his life in Victoria (Limbe), and headed several posts in the South West Province before going to the Parliament to represent his people.

                                    To Our Dad

God took the strength of a mountain
The majesty of a tree
The warmth of a summer sun
The calm of a quiet sea
The generous soul of nature
The comforting arm of night
The power of the eagles flight
The joy of a morning spring
The faith of a mustard seed
The patience of eternity
The depth of a family need
Then God combined these qualities
And then there was nothing more to add
He knew his masterpiece was complete
And so he called it...Dad.

*

I never had a chance to choose the man to be my Dad -
But I sure thank my lucky stars for the taste my Mother had.

Fathers are men who give daughters away to other men
who aren't nearly good enough...
so they can have grandchildren who are smarter than anybody's.

A dad is a person
Who's loving and kind,
And often he knows
What you have on your mind.
He's someone who listens,
Suggest and defends...
A dad can be one
Of your very best friends!
He's proud of your triumphs,
But when things go wrong,
A dad can be patient
And helpful and strong.
In all that you do
A dad's love plays a part -
There's always a place for him
Deep in your heart -
And each year that passes,
You're even more glad,
More grateful and proud
Just to call him your dad!

with all our Love Daddy
