Growing Up next door to the Ewanga's made our parents very close and we the kids grew up as family. Our quartier had very rare breeds in the name of our fathers..We had the most elegant Va Old boyz living around the same neighbourhood.. One of them was known for his dressing..the other known for his cuteness, One danced very well and the other a combinatin of all of these. Daddy was the one with the multiple talent..This guy was always smiling, I never knew one day when i saw a frown on his face. He would sit at the back of his car with his ever so bright white Danshiki and the car will be long gone..but when u got into his compound you'll smell his perfume as if he was standing there.
He was always lending a helping hand to any one who needed it..wether u are his child or not. He will ask you if you had eaten when he pulled up to the garage,as long as you were in his house.
I grew up thinking this house had 1 million relatives, not knowing that most of the kds that callhim dad are actually not his, or have no blood relation to him..He was just so kind.
I know in my mind that daddy is in a better place as i had a 45minute conversation with Sue jiving about him a day prior to his passing..We always shared a note or two about our dads...(They are special to us)
He loved life.
He Lived his life to the fullest.
He worked and played hard.
He Loved his culture.
He loved politics and loved being a leader..
you were so much fun that the kids are going to miss you,,,,but I know and believe God has a better plan for you.Your address here on earth just got changed to a new one in heaven...sleep well daddy..Papa Ewanga will definitely be smiling a you walk in..sleep tight
